Thomas R. McDaniel, Jr. (Tom) was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. His experience includes working for a Fortune 500 company as an auditor and a staff accountant, a controller/chief financial officer for a privately owned company and a manager for a CPA firm.

Tom is a member of the North Carolina association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kernersville Rotary Club. He has served on various boards including the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, the Kernersville Board of Aldermen and the Kernersville YMCA. Tom enjoys golf, tennis and relaxing by the lake with his wife Laurie and their son, Nicholas. His motto is:

"Never taking a risk is the biggest risk of all."

Laurie E. McDaniel was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1984 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business. After graduation, Laurie moved to the Triad where she received her CPA certification in 1986. She has significant experience providing accounting, tax and consulting services to individuals, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

She has served on a variety of not-for-profit boards and has volunteered with many area organizations. Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom and their son, Nicholas. When the demands of motherhood allow, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking gourmet meals and spending weekends relaxing at the lake.
